seed library
And it is that libraries are seedbeds; They are propitious land for people, words, books, echoes, ideas and seeds to grow (in their own way and time!). Within this context germinates MINTEGI. Our hotbed of forgotten voices, whose objective is to rescue words from our fields and orchards from oblivion.
To achieve this, the role of older people is fundamental; without them we will not find the forgotten words. Small people are also essential; without his complicity, the words might fall silent again.
The public library is an archive and an echo. Library walls were raised to echo words and voices. Echo of word that does not stop sounding and echo of ecology.
We invite you to participate in MINTEGI. Our seedbed of forgotten voices/Gure ahaztutako ahotsen hazitegia, a project that dreams of rescuing and sharing words and seeds.”
remembering
We invite you to sharpen your ears and memory, and share words from the garden and the countryside in danger of being forgotten. Each word or expression that we add will allow us, individually and as a community, to read and interpret with more precision the land in which we live and learn from the doings and knowledge of the generations that carved our world before. Do you want to participate? It is very simple:
01
plant your seed
Choose the native seed that you want to plant in your field or orchard.
02
reseeding
Reseed your word, phrase or expression at the same time; or your knowledge, expressions (songs, games...) and traditional practices. Use the forms. If there are several, put them separated by commas or fill in as many as you want. If you prefer, you can send audio and video files.
03
Cultivate
Cultivate and take care of your seed in your field or orchard. But, in addition, so that your immaterial contribution also germinates, we need a few pieces of information to identify it. They will not be used for any other purpose.

The Intangible Cultural Heritage (PCI)...
Nature and public libraries have a lot in common. One of the traits that unites them is interdependence. The insects, the air, the popular saying, the wrinkled hands of a grandmother... are essential for the plant to grow. In the same way, many people who have inspired and helped us have been fundamental in this project: Seve, María Sánchez... We encourage you to consult these projects that we love.
